CACDS introduces a web-based clinical services platform to enable community pharmacy’s ability to efficiently deliver enhanced health care services

The Canadian Association of Chain Drug Stores (CACDS) is leading the launch of MirixaPro Canada™, a pan-Canadian non-competitive integrated clinical decision support tool, to facilitate and accelerate the adoption of professional pharmacy services. The broadening array of pharmacy services being enabled in part by expanded professional practice scopes requires technology solutions to support service delivery to patients. To better enable the delivery of these services, CACDS selected MirixaPro™ to standardize the deployment of clinical pharmacy services across the country through the use of a common technology platform.

MirixaPro™, designed by pharmacists, is currently available in a broad network of pharmacies in the United States and Australia. The deployment of MirixaPro  Canada™ will enable Canadian pharmacies to more efficiently augment their dispensing services with technology to enhance pharmacy services including comprehensive medication management. MirixaPro Canada™ will enable pharmacists to electronically document patient progress, identify compliance issues, and supply educational materials. This information can then be shared with patients’ other care providers, fostering greater care and inter-professional collaboration and ultimately optimizing health outcomes.
